A FUNDAMENTAL EUROPEAN COMMONITY

A series of photographs taken in Europe, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Denmark and Lithuania between 2023 and 2025.

These photos trace a flexible line, a path without borders, where nature and human nature intertwine.

Through my many travels, a series has emerged, one that reflects our own human condition, which, being closely correlated with the environment that surrounds it, reveals itself to be vulnerable, romantic, incomplete, but also carefree. 

The geographical distance between each photograph is concealed here by the universal dimension of turmoil and escape. Only an undeniable commonality shines through.

The series nevertheless offers a journey, similar to those that brought me to these places, through familiarity, movement, and nature in its fundamental state.

A Fundamental European Commonality is a large-scale series, an ode to freedom, to the breaking down of geographical and societal boundaries, where they are becoming increasingly apparent. It highlights the disposition of Man in his human condition, by showing him in his daily life, his fundamentals, while contrasting this with his exodus, by a fine line where he breaks away from what we know about him.
